A New Year

2023?  How is that possible?  I was baking and working on projects and the new year snuck in.  


I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my business.  I LOVE learning!!  I LOVE teaching.  I LOVE Baking breads and pastries.  I have plans to do all three this year!!

This Christmas, I received a fantastic book - “The Art of French Pastry” by Jacquy Pfeiffer and Martha Rose Shulman. It’s been on my list for years.  After seeing the movie, “Kings of Pastry” and reading more about how Chef Pfeiffer co-founded the French Pastry School in Chicago, I was fascinated. Now that this book is in my hands, I plan on baking everything in this book, and I mean EVERYTHING!! 

My current plan is to work on 3 recipes a month, take photos along the way, and write about the experience in this blog.  Maybe I’ll even get a movie deal based upon my blog - picture it…. ”Kathy and Croissants:  A Love Story”!!!  Laughing too hard to type!!

I’m thinking of selling a basket of my favorite recipes from the book each month too, as a way for you all to get a taste of what I’m learning along the way too. I hope you will enjoy the journey with me!
