If you kill it, get a better one!!
Well, I killed my third Kitchen Aid Mixer. Yes, 3!! I have spoken with Kitchen Aid and they reluctantly admitted that their mixers are not built to knead bread dough. I argued that they advertise the mixer to make bread dough. They have bread hook attachments to make bread dough. However, the motor burns up if you are using a slow setting, less than 6 cups of ingredients, and attempting to mix together anything that has body or weight. The Kitchen Aid representative explained that something like banana bread is better suited for a Kitchen Aid Mixer.
So, now that I have sent my mixer to Kitchen Aid to be repaired, I’ve stepped up the quality of my smaller mixer. I still have QBert, my Hobart 20 quart mixer for all big batches of bread.
Welcome, Ethel!!! (Yes, I name my appliances) My new Ankarsrum Bread mixer. She is a 7 liter mixer that just broke through the ceiling of mixing for me. I am making the cream cheese frosting for the King Cakes this weekend. WOW!!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!
I am humbled by all the accolades from your comments on my baking. I am working so hard to keep up with the orders.
So, Saturday, Bavarian Pretzels (almost sold out!)

I appreciate all your information when filling out the survey. Keep those responses coming!!
The weather is amazing. I’m actually done with Winter. My garden is waking up and I feel invigorated.
Happy Day = Happy Mixing!! Thank you Ankarsrum!! You built it, I have it!! No more dead mixers!!
