Busy Baking Week

This week has been a busy baking week. NOTHING from my, “Art of French Pastry”.

It’s been full of breads. Sourdough Sandwich Bread, Sourdough Sandwich Rye Bread, Sourdough Whole Grain Rye Bread, King Cakes, Focaccia.

As anyone who has known me for more than 20 minutes knows, I am NEVER satisfied. I am always trying to improve my skills.

This week, I’ve devoted my efforts to baking the BEST versions of breads that I bake and sell. My neighbors have been happy with the results. The fauna in my back yard appreciate all the bread treats. I am finally happy with the results. Flavors, textures, height, crumb, and overall appearances are spot on.

Have learned quite a bit this week. I feel really proud of the final results.

Going downstairs to the treadmill. Have had WAY TOO MANY tastings this week.

So, getting ready for the baking for this weekend. Lots of orders already for Stromboli and Brownies. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.
