Ciabatta is the Italian equivalent of a baguette, and these have the additional aromatic qualities of a fine sourdough. The crust crackles satisfyingly with each bite and reveals an open-holed, soft crumb interior. They’re made, as many of the best things are, with the simplest ingredients – flour, water, and sourdough. Perfect as a sandwich with your favorite charcuterie or roasted vegetables, or just as a simple toast with butter, olive oil, cheese, or jam.

They will soon be available for sale and local pickups at the Leesburg Wednesday Farmer’s Market.
